"After working as a knitwear designer for a number of international fashion brands, Melanie Porter has turned her expertise towards furniture design for the creation of these cozy, hand-knit sweater chairs. She sources vintage chairs from auctions and markets across the UK and then proceeds to painstakingly strip them back to the frame before restoring. Using traditional techniques, each chair is reupholstered in a series of unique hand-knitted panels designed especially for each chair.
