Mekkanika is a mind-blowing experimental typeface by Italian designer Riccardo Sabatini. He scanned hundreds of mechanical technical drawings and used the component pieces to create each intricate letterform.

Magnetic Typography

UK designer Dominic Le-Hair made this slick magnetized poster by cutting rubber magnets into letters with an x-acto knife and sandwiching them between sheets of paper before dusting it with iron fillings. See more of the project here.

Markus Raetz's typography sculpture turned optical illusion, yes and no can co-exist in perfect harmony. The Swiss-born artist has made a collection of sculptures that also play on the viewer's vantage point.

Amnesty International Bank Notes

A poster was produced with all bank notes from some Latin American countries like Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru, between others. Each piece was realized over a Bank note of each country, which was illustrated by one representative artist, the profits were handed to Amnesty International.
Banknotes have been chosen as they are an embodiment of the dominant narrative of each nation and what is considered most important. Using bank notes as inspiration presents a platform for independent voice in approaching issues such as economic problems, exclusion and nationalism.{via}

One Lyric, Hot Letters

This project is called “Music Philosophy” and it is a rather excellent clash of brilliantly written lyrics and typography. Design of this caliber is often reserved for paying customers, but Mico Toledo does this project as a hobby. The closest this project has come to the physical plane is some printed versions of the posters and a painting project on the wall of a friend’s apartment. Fab!
